SwanIT was founded in 2017 to provide a modern process for device lifecycle management, one that avoids sending well-working devices to landfills, damaging the environment and draining business budgets with unnecessary costs.

About SwanIT

In my career, especially in developing countries, I have seen the dark side of IT. In the West, we mine valuable minerals and metals, export them, use them in electronics, and finally dump them back in developing countries as hazardous waste...

This waste damages the soil and water, and consequently, the health of the local population. Environmental and human rights values, highlighting them, and implementing new, more sustainable processes, have been absent from the IT world for too long.

The five perspectives that guide our actions

Respect for people and the world's resources. At SwanIT, respect for resources means maximizing their use through circular economy principles. We don't buy anything unnecessarily; we carefully evaluate each decision. We also respect people, valuing and cherishing everyone.

Valuing every person. All people are equally valuable and immeasurably precious to us, regardless of any factor. We cherish each person's uniqueness and create work environments built on trust, safety, and well-being. In our services, this means we critically evaluate our partners' actions too.

Authenticity and integrity. We want to be authentic and honest in everything we do. We make our work and cooperation as transparent as possible, building trust between all parties. Everything we say, write, and promise is genuinely what we do. We stand by our word.

Courage and patience. Working toward sustainability requires patience and perseverance. Markets don't change overnight and changes aren't always welcomed with open arms. It takes courage to raise difficult issues and advocate for better ways of doing things.
